  • Robert W. Landmesser, Chairman of the Board and Founder Robert: Landmesser founded Com-Cycle in 1990 as a research and development firm for mercury and precious metals processing and recycling. Robert Landmesser began in the Hazardous Waste industry in 1976 after working for Proctor & Gamble as a sales representative. Landmesser and his partner started Advanced Environmental Technology Corporation (AETC) in Northern New Jersey to service the hazardous waste needs of pharmaceutical and Fortune 500 companies. AETC started in a garage with a combined $250 start up capital. During the 1980s AETC helped to develop standards for handling, packaging and transportation for Hazardous Waste. These standards put into practice the new federal waste laws including RCRA and TSCA. AETC specialized in handling explosives and lab chemicals for research facilities. AETC continued to grow on a national scale to 22 offices across the US. AETC regularly serviced over 200 of the Fortune 500 companies. In 1995 Landmesser entered AETC into a joint venture with Waste Management and created AETS. Landmesser retained a large portion of the ownership and was Chairman of AETS/ChemWaste Management. Landmesser later sold his interest in AETS/ChemWaste Management in 1998 and became the Vice President of Industrial Services for Waste Management. Mr. Landmesser was named 1994 Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst & Young and Merrill Lynch for the Service Industry in Metro New York. In 2003 AERC created Com-Cycle to manage end-of-life electronics.

 

  • Peter J. Jegou, Chief Executive Officer: Peter Jegou has been a Chief Executive Officer, President and Director of private and public companies for the past 35 years. Prior to joining AERC/Com-Cycle, he was the CEO and co-founder of the Harbor Business Group, LLC. a Private Equity Fund In that role Mr. Jegou’s recent accomplishments include a corporate turn around to cash flow positive, developed a new management team and repositioned a technology-based company in the Television Broadcast Industry. He arranged for and negotiated a “25 Million IPO for a Management Team” in the Health Care Industry. Mr. Jegou has substantial experience as an investor, entrepreneur and executive, including extensive operating experience successfully growing companies. He has facilitated relationships between clients and private equity investors, venture capitalists, investment bankers and commercial bankers. He has extensive experience in the public marketplace, including pre-IPO corporate structuring, assisting companies through the registration process, registering companies with NASDAQ and under the ’34 Act. He has “re-engineered” and restructured companies leading to investments of over $125 million dollars. He served as a director of the U.S.-China International Exchange Advancement Association. Mr. Jegou has a degree in Architectural and Mechanical Design.

 

  • Robert V. Szanyi, Chief Financial Officer: Robert Szanyi has been President, Chief Financial Officer and Controller of private and public companies for the past 25 years. Prior to joining AERC / Com-Cycle, he was the President of a re-packaging corporation in the Food Service Industry. Mr. Szanyi has extensive operating experience in the financial and accounting functions of various enterprises and also has a strong background in tax matters and implementation of computerized systems.Mr. Szanyi began his career with Haskins & Sells (now Deloitte & Touche) in 1972 and has audited various public and private corporations and was a senior manager in the Small and Emerging Growth Business practice. Mr. Szanyi is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the State of New Jersey and has a degree in Accounting from Franklin & Marshall College.

 

  • Mark Kasper, Vice President of Operations: Mark Kasper started with AERC/Com-Cycle in December of 2004 as the Operations Manager for Com-Cycle. Kasper manages all aspects of electronics recycling including, buying, processing, and selling materials. Kasper currently oversees operations in all Com-Cycle electronics recycling facilities across the US. Prior to joining AERC/Com-Cycle Kasper worked with SurferNetwork, an internet based radio streaming start up company as Vice President of Operations managing over 1,000 radio stations nationwide. Kasper has over 13 years of hazardous waste experience working for AETC as an integral part of their growth plan. In 1993, Mark was called upon to join a defense contractor family business, INS, a company that specialized in Logistics, Systems Integration and Information Security. During Kasper’s tenure with INS, sales grew from $18 million to $30 million annually. He was instrumental in the negotiation and sale of the company to Sytex in 2000. Lockheed Martin later purchased the consolidated company of Sytex / INS in 2004 for $453 million. Kasper has an educational background in Computer Science with extensive knowledge computer hardware.

 

  • Lindsay L. Landmesser, Vice President Sales: Ms. Landmesser joined Com-Cycle in July of 2005 as a marketing consultant focusing on the development of new sales materials. Landmesser currently manages the sales force as well as oversees operations for the California and Florida AERC facilities. Prior to working with AERC, Landmesser worked at Gerrity Baker Williams Insurance Company as a licensed insurance agent. Landmesser has also worked as a research consultant for litigation involving environmental lawsuits. Landmesser attended Skidmore College and graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Management and Business in 2004.

 

  • Frank A. Losagio, Corporate Environmental, Health and Safety Manager: Prior to joining Com-Cycle in 2006, Mr. Losagio served as a Safety and Environmental Specialist for the Georgia-Pacific Corporation in Easton, Pennsylvania. While at Georgia-Pacific. Mr. Losagio earned a Master Degree in Environmental Management from Montclair State College in NJ. He also has sixteen (16) years of Environmental, Health and Safety experience in a manufacturing environment. Mr. Losagio is currently a Board of Director for the non-profit organization Pretreatment Information Exchange (PIX) Group comprised of members of Lehigh and Northampton.
